Omoniyi Onabule Esq. obtained his law degree from the College of Law at Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti in 2014. In recognition of his outstanding character, he was awarded the Most Outstanding Student of Integrity by the University’s Management in 2010, and he has continued to uphold this reputation to the present day. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015, and began his professional career at Afe Babalola & Co. (Emmanuel Chambers), after which he joined Robert Clarke SAN’s firm (Clarke & Paiko) where he learned the rudiments of litigation from the learned silk.

Omoniyi played a pivotal role in the celebrated case of Hon. Justice Nganjiwa v. Federal Republic of Nigeria (Appeal No: CA/L/969C/17 delivered on 11/12/17 now reported as (2017) LPELR-43391 (CA); (2018) 4 NWLR (pt. 1609)) led by the learned silk, Robert Clarke SAN. He successfully handled various matters and appeared before different courts and tribunals. Presently, Omoniyi serves as the Team Lead at Deluxe Legal, where he oversees the Firm’s dispute resolution matters and commercial transactions.

Furthermore, Omoniyi successfully argued a no case submission in the case of Inspector General of Police v. Alexander (Charge No: LD/15516C/2021) where the defendant was discharged and acquitted. He has also appeared before Investment and Securities Tribunal where he obtained favourable judgments for his clients.

In addition to his active legal practice, Omoniyi has made concerted effort to contribute to the development of Nigerian law, regulations, and jurisprudence through his written works. He has, in fact reviewed some notable laws in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, all of which have now been published in reputable articles.

Omoniyi has demonstrated his commitment to serving the NBA whenever called upon. He was recently appointed by the Association’s President as a member of the Digital Committee. In addition, he served as a Coordinator for a session on Data Protection and Privacy, which was sponsored by Meta, at the 2022 Annual General Conference (“Bold Transition”).

Omoniyi Onabule Esq. has been an active member of the Lagos Branch of the NBA since 2016 and has served in various capacities. He recently completed his tenure as the Vice Chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum of the Lagos Branch, NBA. In addition, he has served on several committees within the Branch.
