Uchenna Ogunedo Akingbade is a Notary Public of Nigeria and the Principal Partner at Distinguished Legal Practitioners (DLP), a full-service law firm in Lagos Nigeria. Uchenna has over a decade’s experience at the Bar with her main areas of practice being: dispute resolution and corporate/commercial law.  Uchenna spent the earlier part of her legal career with the law firm of Chief Solo Akuma (SAN) & Associates, Abuja FCT. Upon moving to Lagos, she worked briefly at Adetunji, Shoyoye & Associates after which she Co-founded DLP.

Uchenna sits on the Boards of several private companies. Uchenna is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (MCIarb). She is an accredited Mediator with the Lagos Multidoor Court house (LMDC). Uchenna is also a member of the Association of professional negotiators and mediators.

Uchenna holds an LLB from University of Jos and an LLM from the University of Birmingham. 

Uchenna has previously served the Lagos Branch as the Secretary of the Budget & Finance Subcommittee of the 2023 Law week planning Committee. She was also a Member of the Annual General Conference 2023 Lagos Planning committee.

Uchenna is a Member of the NBA Women’s Forum and FIDA. Uchenna is passionate about the development of any community she finds herself in. She is also very passionate about the welfare and skill acquisition of incarcerated inmates to aid their re-integration into society.

Uchenna enjoys spending time with God, family and friends and watching films.
